The MagicContact app was design for people with speech and/or motor and/or cognitive impairments.
Examples of potential users are: people with Brain Injuries (Cerebral Palsay, Traumatic Brain Injury, Stroke, oncological disease, among others); Neurodegenerative Diseases (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, Multiple Sclerosis, among others); Intellectual impairments; Autism Spectrum Disorders; or other conditions that make difficult conventional communication.
Interaction is guaranteed through scanning process, and allows access to the main functions of smartphone or tablet, such as making phone calls, sending text messages, browsing the internet, etc...
There are available two tools for Augmentative and Alternative Communication - Text to Speech and Communication Tables – designed for people with speech impairments (e.g. cerebral palsy, stroke victims, or ALS patients).
